Welcome to ScanForLife. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the ScanForLife Emergency Identification System (EIS), including the purchase, subscription, and use of QR-based Personal Identification Kits. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.
1. Subscription Plan and Renewal
QR Code Subscription: Each ScanForLife QR code is provided on a yearly subscription basis and is valid for one (1) year from the date of activation.
Scan Limit: Each QR code is issued with a defined annual scan limit. Scans are intended strictly for emergency, safety, and identification purposes.
Renewal: Once the scan limit or validity period is exhausted, renewal is required to continue using the service. Renewal may be subject to a nominal fee.
2. Use of Information
You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date personal information, including name, blood group, medical details (if any), and emergency contact numbers.
This information is used solely to assist in emergencies and improve response time during critical situations.
Insurance Information: Accidental insurance, if opted for, is optional. If the user already has insurance, such details may be voluntarily added to the system.
3. Sharing of Information
In case of an emergency scan, limited necessary information is displayed to assist responders and emergency services.
Information may be shared with insurance providers only when insurance coverage is enabled and strictly for claim or verification purposes.
All data sharing is governed by applicable data protection laws and our Privacy Policy.
4. Data Security and Privacy
All personal data is encrypted and stored securely on protected servers.
ScanForLife does not store or record the responder’s mobile number. The responder is considered a social helper assisting during an emergency.
For detailed information, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
5. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for ensuring that their personal and emergency information remains accurate and updated.
Users must use the QR code and services only for genuine emergency, safety, vehicle, or lost-and-found purposes.
Any misuse, false alerts, or unlawful use may result in suspension or termination of services.
6. Device & Technology Dependency
The effectiveness of ScanForLife services depends on the responder’s device capabilities.
The responder’s smartphone must have:
- A working camera to scan the QR code
- Active internet connection
- Location (GPS) services enabled for real-time location sharing
- A compatible web browser
ScanForLife shall not be held liable if services are impacted due to device limitations or connectivity issues.
